There is today a direct link between the public interest petitions done by IHR and the campaigns it participates in and convenes. The latter create awareness about the issues, facilitate the dissemination of court orders, and make the process for change participatory. This signals the judiciary that society is concerned about case outcomes, making it more responsive to civil society’s needs. Campaigns form a consultative process through which civil society monitors case progress and the performance of lawyers, providing crucial information and support. The dynamic interplay between campaigns and litigation fosters transparency in decision-making
